Vincent Van Gogh : The Grand Bouillon exhibition

Restaurant "Au grand Bouillon" ?

The Grand Bouillon exhibition

Vincent organized the “Peintres du Petit Boulevard” exhibition in that big restaurant. He had gathered that group around him, including Toulouse-Lautrec, Guillaumin, Bernard, Anquetin, Passaro, Signac…
Nearly two hundreds paintings, of which a hundred at least were by him, were exhibited.
Vincent would be disappointed to see that the restaurant’s customers were not in the least interested in them. He would eventually argue with the boss and had to withdraw the exhibition by hiring a cart and taking it home alone.
